Sylvia Chang
Registered Care Manager
Care work doesn't start in an office. It starts before sunrise in the quiet of a 6:30am shift, arriving for someone who's already been awake for hours, in the small, unglamorous moments no one sees but everyone depends on. That's where I learned what this work really means, and it's the ground I still stand on today.
As Registered Manager, I carry two things at once: the paperwork, the standards, the compliance that keeps us accountable and the quieter truth that behind every file is a person who wants to be seen, not managed. I've never found those two things to be in conflict. Done right, structure is simply another form of care.
I lead the way I'd want to be led with honesty when it's needed, patience when it's harder, and calm when everything else is not. I believe a team stays not because it has to, but because it's been given a reason to be proud of the work.
If this service has a heartbeat, I hope people feel it - steady, dependable, and awake before the rest of the world.
At MAUCARE, we're committed to supporting you every step of the way, enriching lives and empowering individuals to live life to the fullest. Join us at MAUCARE, where compassion meets affordability, and together, we'll make every moment count.
