Care Supervisor (Full Time), West Kent

Location: West Kent (Maidstone, West and East Malling, Tonbridge or Tunbridge Wells area; exact office to be confirmed). Temporarily based at our Gravesend office for training until the West Kent office is fully operational.
Hours: Full time
Salary: £25,000 to £27,000 per annum, plus on-call allowance

We are seeking an experienced and highly capable Care Supervisor to help launch our new West Kent Branch. This is a full-time position focused on managing our clients and leading recruitment for the branch, offering real scope to shape how the branch grows. You will initially be based at our Gravesend office for training and support until the West Kent office is fully set up and ready to operate. This role reports to the Registered Manager.

This role suits someone who takes real ownership of their responsibilities and sees things through to completion, rather than someone looking for a strictly nine-to-five role. If you develop strongly in this role, there is genuine potential to move into a manager position at a future branch elsewhere in Kent, for example Central, East or South Kent.

Key responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day relationships with clients across West Kent, including care planning and client reviews
  • Lead recruitment for the branch, from attracting candidates through to onboarding new staff
  • Provide cover for the Coordinator’s rota and carer-management responsibilities when they are off or at capacity
  • Support the setup and smooth transition of the new West Kent office
  • Participate in the on-call rota, including covering shifts or calls as required
  • Build strong relationships with clients, families and healthcare professionals
  • Act as a point of contact for safeguarding concerns, escalating and documenting appropriately
  • Support full compliance with CQC standards, policies, audits and inspection readiness

What we are looking for

  • Significant experience in a domiciliary or home care setting, working with clients
  • NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or working towards, with full company support)
  • Strong understanding of the supervisory role and its responsibilities
  • Excellent, confident personality with the ability to build trust quickly
  • Comfortable working independently and being based temporarily away from your home branch during setup
  • Flexible and willing to take part in an on-call rota, including evenings and weekends as required
  • A hands-on, ownership mindset: someone who follows things through to resolution rather than clocking off with urgent issues unresolved
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (essential)
